Iman Seepersad is a Human Rights and climate advocate who
graduated with honours from the London School of Economics and
Political Science and the United Nations Institute for Training and
Research (UNITAR).
Starting her career in migration working in refugee camps in
France, she consulted for numerous grassroots associations
focused on children’s rights and founded the 2019 Helping Hands
initiative, aiming towards reducing the education gap in Mauritius.
Through her work in think tanks, she co-authored reports and
papers on various human rights matters, such as the Uyghurs case
in China, child soldiering in the MENA region, and, more recently,
the effects of climate change on gender dynamics in SIDS.
